A flock of starlings form what looks like one huge bird hovering in the sky, in this photo taken by Rob Wolstenholme at Shapwick Heath National Nature Reserve in Somerset. Picture: Robert Wolstenholme/ Solent News & Photo Agency
This reminds me I need to finish Mr. Palomar.
Have you ever read Mr. Palomar? I had it assigned for a class, near the end of the semester, and I loved it but didn’t get to finish it in the week (2 days) I had (gave myself) to read it.
But man is it excellent. Neurotic overthinking and woolgathering turned into beautiful and funny insights.
I don’t read a lot of old books, but I want to get back to this one.
That does not look like “one huge bird.” I don’t if you’re failing that Rorschach or I am, but “one huge bird,” not so much.
I don’t either. It looks like a penis. Or maybe flicking of the bird.
